About Car2Bus II

Car2Bus II is a pre-employment program, delivered by MEGT and Major Training. Its’ focus is on women, First Nations peoples and migrant jobseekers to help them achieve the following:

  • Acquire their medium rigid vehicle license
  • Develop core technical and heavy vehicle driving skills
  • Undertake enhanced driver safety training
  • Build work-ready skills
  • Make connections with potential employers

MEGT has partnered with employers including Kinetic, Australia’s leading bus group, and Indigenous-owned employment provider Five Bridges to help participants achieve successful employment outcomes.

Specialised driver safety training using Virtual Reality

Specialised driver safety training using Virtual Reality

In partnership with Next World, Car2Bus II participants complete specialised driver safety training using Virtual Reality (VR). This training is designed to simulate real-world scenarios in a controlled, immersive environment, providing trainees with hands-on experience and the opportunity to build confidence behind the wheel.
