About From the Ground Up

From the Ground Up is an eight-week program for people interested in developing a career in the resources and infrastructure sector including the mining, quarry and civil construction industries.

Participants will:

Gain essential knowledge about key industry processes
Learn about safety protocols and safe work practices
Develop communication and work-ready skills
Be supported by a team of experienced mentors
Have the opportunity to make connections with potential employers

Laying the foundation for a career in resources

From the Ground Up participants undertake the TLI20420 Certificate II in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation with Major Training, the program's Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partner.

Once the From the Ground Up program is completed, MEGT will support participants into an apprenticeship. Possible career pathways include becoming a civil construction worker, plant operations worker, miner, excavator and more
