The first step is to provide us with your resume, including professional background and education. You should read the advertisement and check that your experience and skills match what’s required for the role, and we’ll keep you updated about your application.
When you submit your resume, our talent acquisition team will check the original or certified copies of any relevant qualifications to keep everything on record.
Our team will organise an initial screening via phone with you. It’s an initial consultation with one of our friendly talent acquisition team, who’ll explain the application process in more detail.
We conduct interviews in person or online (depending on individual circumstances), which gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. We’ll discuss your skills, knowledge and experience, and how you align with MEGT Values and our culture. You’ll be encouraged to ask us questions about the role, the business, and our staff. The talent acquisition team coordinates interviews with you via email, and can facilitate additional support, reasonable adjustment and/or flexibility as needed.
Our talent acquisition team will reach out to you to commence the probity check process. You’ll need to undertake police and working with children checks, along with a pre-employment medical questionnaire. We’ll also verify your past employment references, working rights, identification documents, and any relevant qualifications (like your driver's license). You can direct any questions to our talent acquisition team at any time during the process.
Before we extend an offer, we’ll conduct at least two reference checks. References are shared with the hiring manager once completed. If you have an overseas passport or a relevant visa, we’ll also verify your Australian working rights.
From time to time, we may engage a recruitment agency to find talent for us. If you’re working with an external recruitment agency, some of these checks may be completed by them.
We’ll need to wrap up all background checks before making a final decision, so be sure to prepare all your documentation ahead of time.
Once we’ve gathered all the information we need, we’ll reach out to the successful candidates to share the exciting news and begin the process of welcoming you to the team!
