ANZ

About ANZ

ANZ has been a financial cornerstone across Australia and New Zealand for generations, offering the full spectrum of financial services to people across both nations.

However, their commitment runs deeper than just banking and finance. Since 2007, ANZ’s Reconciliation Action Plan has driven genuine Indigenous employment outcomes, showing their commitment to creating lasting change in collaboration with First Nations communities.

How does ANZ benefit?

MEGT and ANZ are working together to create genuine career pathways for First Nations peoples.

ANZ’s First Nations Banking Program offers a tailored approach to supporting rising talent as they set out on their careers in banking. Whether that’s Year 11 and 12 students getting a head start whilst still in school, or adults looking to change careers, every trainee benefits from MEGT’s personalised approach to support and coaching.

MEGT’s First Nations coaches have a proven track record of helping trainees. Balancing work, training and personal lives can be a challenge, which is why we offer ongoing support throughout the traineeship.

From matching trainees with ANZ branches near their homes to preparing them for the application process and navigating the program, MEGT is there every step of the way.

Building our next generation of First Nations talent

Together, ANZ and MEGT are collaborating with First Nations peoples to create a new culture in banking. We share a strong commitment to creating meaningful career pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We’ve created a partnership that doesn’t just share goals, but delivers on our promises.

At MEGT, we understand that meaningful support makes all the difference. ANZ trainees receive both Indigenous-specific and industry-focused coaching, preparing them for work placements, vocational training and success in their new careers.

The impact spreads throughout communities. MEGT consultants lead comprehensive recruitment campaigns that directly connect with First Nations communities, actively seeking out motivated candidates and guiding them through a specialised recruitment process.

MEGT consultants have developed strong relationships with First Nations communities across Australia. Our experienced coaches provide intensive support throughout their entire qualification journey, while our advisors keep everyone aligned on goals and expectations, and take care of the paperwork and regulatory requirements.

We also provide professional and reliable advice on every aspect of traineeships, based on decades of experience. We take care of the logistics, so ANZ can focusing on nurturing its First Nations talent.

First Nations trainees at ANZ are also working towards completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business.

MEGT is proud to collaborate with ANZ and the Australia College of Commerce & Management. We’re excited to see what the future holds for our talented First Nations trainees.
