How does it work?
As a registered Group Training Organisation (GTO), MEGT directly employs the trainee and places them with a host employer (your business).
Candidates are thoroughly screened, suitable and job-ready for you to provide on-the-job training and supervision as they work towards a nationally accredited qualification, adding value to your business.
MEGT trainees achieve significantly higher completion rates than the national average, which reduces staff turnover and costly mis-hires.
Who are the trainees?
MEGT sources and screens female candidates for the Digital Skills Cadetship program who are:
- Returning to the workforce from an extended break
- From under-represented groups including First Nations peoples, newly-arrived migrants, refugees, and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- Transitioning from underemployment, or looking for a new career in ICT
The details
The Digital Skills Cadetship program is a 14-week workplace placement which offers Microsoft Specialised micro-credentials in cyber security, data analytics or cloud-based computing.
